Project Overview:
Through funding provided by the Ohio Educational Telecommunications Network Commission, the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Association for the Advancement of Arts Education (AAAE) and CET Learning Services have combined their technological, content and research expertise to provide a unique learning opportunity for you and your students. Behind the Glass: The Cincinnati Art Museum will enable you, the educator, to combine the visual arts and technology in vivid and imaginative new ways to enhance, enrich and elaborate on skills related to Ohio Academic Content Standards in math, science, reading, writing and citizenship.

Behind the Glass: The Cincinnati Art Museum targets students in fourth, fifth and sixth grades. The project provides resources to you and your students to increase your understanding of the visual arts as a tool for teaching and learning in all curricular areas. This resource offers you professional development opportunities and a multimedia learning experience for your students.

Using the tools of distance learning, DVD, the Internet, print material and professional development experiences, you can give your students the opportunity to go far beyond the traditional museum visit, to experience an insider's perspective on art and its value and to integrate that experience into their learning and living.
